Diamond Dermabrasion

Diamond Dermabrasion is suitable for all skin types and tones, and is especially beneficial for dull, lacklustre skin, uneven texture, dryness and build-up of dead cells, congested pores / blackheads, fine lines and early signs of ageing, mild discoloration, mild acne and skin needing instant brightness and smoothness.

We begin with a skin assessment, a double cleanse and careful preparation.

I then use the diamond-tipped microdermabrasion wand, adjusting the intensity to your skin’s needs and tolerance to remove dead skin cells and smooth the surface.

Next comes a relaxing face and neck massage, followed by a serum and mask chosen for your skin. Where appropriate, I also incorporate selected Skin Tools to complement your treatment.

We finish with eye care, moisturizer, sunscreen for daytime appointments and lip balm.

Aim to arrive with calm, comfortable skin. For the seven days before your appointment, avoid AHA/BHA and retinol products, facial waxing or depilatory treatments, saunas and steam rooms.

Avoid tanning, sunbeds, intense sun exposure and anything else that could irritate your skin.

Keep your routine simple, with gentle cleansing and hydration. Avoid makeup for the first few hours and while your skin remains irritated.

For the first 24 hours, avoid very hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and intense exercise. Protect your skin from the sun and use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily, reapplying when you’re outdoors.

You may restart exfoliants, AHA/BHA or retinol 2–3 days after the treatment.

You don’t need to remember everything: we’ll go through your aftercare at the appointment, and you’ll receive detailed instructions by email too.

Little to no downtime.

Mild redness, sensitivity or slight swelling may occur and usually settle within one to two days. Your response depends on the treatment intensity and your skin’s sensitivity.

For regular care and a refresh, I may recommend a session approximately every four weeks.

For a more focused approach to uneven texture, dullness, fine lines and photo-ageing we can plan an initial course of 4–6 sessions, usually spaced two to four weeks apart, provided your skin has fully recovered.

The frequency is adjusted to your skin’s response and sensitivity.
